Why is it so hard for us to love? Why is it, that at times we say we love or care for someone, rather it is mom, dad, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc., especially as Christians out of obligation? We are to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. If we are the god fearing people that we say we are, then why not love our enemies, why not tell that individual "I'm sorry or I love you," or be CHRIST LIKE and love all our neighbor's regardless of the pain or sufferings that we may have had to endure.
In 1st Corinthians, chapter 13, it states that: love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in the evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always preserve, 4-7.
Through all things seek god's kingdom and the power of his never failing Love. God loved us so much that he endured heart ache and pain and died on the cross. Not only for us not to endure what he had to go through, but for our sins as well. As we know what god endured, why is it so hard to do what he asks? We are his children. We are to follow and listen to him as if he was here in the natural rim. As we listen to our parents here on earth we are to be obedient and listen to him. But again, why is it so hard to love, be Christ like and follow his orders? In Romans 12:2, it says, do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformedby the RENEWING of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.
So I believe this here is the answer! We are not to conform to the world, do those things that are not of the most high, ie, commit adultery, lust, lie, etc. Two, we are to renew our minds! Begin praying more, sit in silence and listen, read his's powerful instrument (Bible), learn and understand that tithes and offerings, and forgive yourself. Confess any and all sins. Not only are you to forgive yourself, but forgive others as well! Then and only then will we be begin to understand what it is to be Christ like and know how to love. In taking this approach, is when we are able to a test to God's perfect will. I have learned that this is only the beginning of an extraordinary, and revealing journey and one thing that is for sure is that God's love is every lasting!
